What is Competition? |
There are many things you can be involved in, most of which are listed on the first page of this document. The only thing you are required to do is the food drive, and the rest is up to you! You can compete, volunteer for concessions, work one of our tournaments, work in the school store, participate in leadership training, and much more. You choose what works for you!
|
Competition is how DECA helps you learn and practice problem-solving skills, communication skills, and businesslike behavior. We consider this one of the most helpful aspects of DECA and are always looking for more competitors! Find out more here!

What do I do if I Compete? |
How do I sign up for DECA? |
The main part of competition are the role-plays. With these you are given a business scenario to solve and then act out the situation with a judge. There is no audience, just you and the judge! You are scored based on particular business/marketing standards and your scores are then compared with other students in your categories and awards are presented. Anyone can compete at the district level (DCDC), results from DCDC can qualify you for State (SCDC) in Lake Geneva, and the SCDC results then can qualify you for Internationals (ICDC)!
|
All you do is fill out the DECA info sheet and turn that in with the $30 fee, which covers your tee shirt and the registration to both state and national DECA. Fill the google sheet out here!
What is the Best Part of DECA?It depends. Some students love the competition, some enjoy the food drive, while others can’t wait for the Polar Plunge. There is something we do that excites everyone!
